It’s beginning to look a lot like Bingemas, which means it’s the perfect time to snuggle up with the latest Netflix holiday films and Wiretap!
From a return to Aldovia for the birth of a new royal to an animated comedy destined to become a classic, here are the newest festive offerings from Netflix.
Holiday in the Wild (November 1)
Kate (Kristin Davis, Sex and the City) books a second honeymoon with her husband after their son goes away to college. On the eve of their African safari, her husband leaves her so she heads on the trip solo. On a detour through Zambia, she helps her pilot, Derek (Rob Lowe, Parks and Recreation) rescue a baby elephant. Together, they nurse him back to health at a local elephant sanctuary, and Kate extends her trip through Christmastime. Kate falls in love with the surrounding beauty, and could also be falling for Derek.
Let it Snow (November 8)
It’s Christmas Eve and a snowstorm in a small midwestern brings a group of high school seniors together on a wild ride complete with a stranded pop star, a squad of competitive dancers, a stolen keg, and an epic party. Based on the best-selling holiday anthology by John Green, Maureen Johnson, and Lauran Myracle, it stars Kiernan Shipka (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Isabela Merced (Dora and the Lost City of Gold), Shameik Moore (The Get Down), Odeya Rush (Dumplin’), Liv Hewson (Santa Clarita Diet), Mitchell Hope (Disney’s Descendants), and Jacob Batalon (Spider-Man: Far from Home).
Klaus (November 15)
Jesper (Jason Schwartzman) the worst student at the postal academy, is stationed on a frozen island above the Arctic Circle amidst a feud between the locals. He meets a local teacher, Alva (Rashida Jones), and discovers Klaus (J.K. Simmons), a mysterious carpenter who lives alone in a cabin full of handmade toys. This animated comedy directed by Despicable Me co-creator Sergio Pablos is an instant holiday classic.
The Knight Before Christmas (November 21)
In her follow up to last year’s The Princess Switch, Vanessa Hudgens returns to Netflix for another festive romance. In it, she plays Brooke, a science teacher who’s been unlucky in love. After a sorceress transports medieval knight Sir Cole (Josh Whitehouse, Poldark) to present-day Ohio during the holidays, he befriends Brooke and she helps him on the quest that will help get him home. As he learns about the modern world and grows close to Brooke, he starts to wonder if he actually wants to go back to his old life.
Holiday Rush (November 28)
Popular New York radio DJ Rush Williams (Romany Malco) has been overindulging his four kids after the loss of their mother. When he loses his job right before Christmas, he teams up with his producer, Roxy (Sonequa Martin-Green, Star Trek: Discovery), and his Aunt Jo (Darlene Love) to buy another radio station … only if the Williams family can downsize and embrace a simpler life.
A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby (December 5)
In the third installment of Netflix’s Christmas Prince series, it’s Christmastime once again in Aldovia, and a royal baby is on the way! Queen Amber (Rose McIver, iZombie) and King Richard (Ben Lamb, Divergent) are preparing for their new arrival. However first, they have to host the King and Queen of Penglia to renew a 600-year-old sacred truce. When the treaty goes missing, Amber has to figure out who the thief is to prevent an ancient curse on her kingdom. And she has to do so before the clock strikes midnight on Christmas Eve.
