How to Send Replies and Direct Messages with Wiretap

You asked for it and we’ve happily delivered. Now you can reply to friends’ and fans’ comments in Netflix shows, while you watch. Plus, you can send direct messages to each other. Both are great ways to stay in touch with friends and fans without being in the same room.

One of the great things about Wiretap is that you don’t have to watch on each other’s schedules. Your comments or your friend’s comments will be waiting when you each choose to watch on your own times. But now you can reply to each other, as long as you’re logged in, and chat about a certain scene.

When a comment appears that you want to say something about, you simply click Reply (annotated below with a pink circle).

Then, just type in the box. You hit return when you’re done so the reply sends to the person who wrote the original comment.

That person (who’s comment you replied to) will then get a notification that takes them to your reply in the Messages section of their profile. It’s as easy as that.

Sending direct messages is super easy to do, as well. Make sure you’re logged in and just roll over a person’s icon to pop up their profile. Then click Message (also annotated here with a pink circle).

Your message window with that person shows automatically and you can start sending direct messages.

You find out that you’ve received new messages (just like new replies) in notifications.

Clicking a message’s notification pops up the Message window you share with the person who sent you a message.

That’s how easy it is to reply to comments and send messages in Wiretap. Try out these two new features the next time you watch a Netflix show. And if you haven’t already done so – add Wiretap to Chrome so you can share posts and reactions, as well as reply and message now. Wiretap is the way to watch Netflix together, anytime, without being in the same room.
